APX Civil was engaged to deliver driveway and site preparation works for a rural property in Kangaroo Valley, NSW.
The project involved the construction of a new driveway, preparation of a house pad and shed pad, stormwater management works, swale drainage and culvert installation.
The works were completed to improve site access, manage water movement across the property and prepare the area for future development.
The completed scope provided the property with a practical access solution, formed building platforms and drainage infrastructure suited to the rural site conditions.
Driveway Construction and Site Access
A key part of the project was the construction of a new driveway to provide reliable access through the property.
APX Civil completed approximately 900m² of driveway pavement works, shaping and preparing the driveway alignment to suit the site layout and surrounding ground conditions. The works were carried out with a focus on creating a durable access solution capable of supporting ongoing property use and future construction requirements.
The driveway works helped transform the site from an undeveloped access area into a more functional and practical entry point for the property.
House Pad and Shed Pad Preparation
Alongside the driveway construction, APX Civil completed preparation works for both the house pad and shed pad.
These works involved cutting, shaping and preparing the building areas to create suitable platforms for the next stages of development. Careful attention was given to levels, access and integration with the surrounding driveway and drainage works.
By completing the pad preparation as part of the broader civil package, APX Civil helped create a more coordinated site layout ready for future construction.
Swale Drainage and Stormwater Control
Stormwater management formed an important part of the Kangaroo Valley project, with APX Civil delivering approximately 130 metres of swale drainage across the site.
The swale drains were constructed to help direct surface water, reduce uncontrolled runoff and improve water movement through the property. These works were particularly important in supporting the long-term performance of the driveway, building pads and surrounding access areas.
The drainage works were planned and delivered to suit the natural site conditions while supporting the future use of the property.
Culvert Installation and Rural Site Delivery
The project also included culvert installation to support water flow beneath access areas and maintain practical movement through the site.
The driveway, pad preparation, swale drainage and culvert works were delivered as a coordinated rural civil package, with GPS precision used to support accurate excavation and shaping across the project.
Through careful sequencing and site-based delivery, APX Civil completed the works to improve access, drainage and overall site functionality for the Kangaroo Valley property.
