NEW DAM CONSTRUCTION

APX Civil manages the full delivery of new dam projects, from initial site preparation through to final shaping and commissioning. Each dam is constructed to suit the natural terrain, soil conditions and catchment characteristics of the site to ensure long-term stability and water retention.

Our works typically involve clearing and bulk earthworks, excavation and cut-to-fill operations, installation of keyways and core trenches, and the construction of compacted clay liners and embankments. Spillways, overflow systems and inlet or outlet pipework are installed as required, with final trimming, batter stabilisation and access tracks completed to provide a functional and durable asset.

All construction is completed using modern plant and experienced operators, with careful attention given to moisture conditioning and compaction to achieve the required structural integrity and storage performance.

DAM ENLARGEMENT & UPGRADES

Where additional water storage is required, APX Civil can modify and expand existing dams to increase capacity and improve functionality.

DAM REPAIRS & REHABILITATION

Our team identifies the cause of issues such as water loss or embankment instability and carries out appropriate solutions, including clay re-lining, compaction works, erosion repairs and spillway remediation. Where sediment has reduced storage capacity, we also undertake desilting and reshaping works to return the dam to its intended function.

DAM MAINTENANCE
