Mungurra Rise
Residential Subdivision Finalisation

Cordeaux Heights

APX Civil has been engaged to undertake the final delivery works at the new Mungurra Rise residential subdivision located in Cordeaux Heights, NSW.

Our role on this project is to finalise the remaining infrastructure works, rectify previously identified changes that will ensure the subdivision is delivered to the required engineering and council standards.

The works involve a combination of drainage improvements, civil infrastructure adjustments, pavement rectification and landscaping works to ensure the development meets specification.

STAGE  1

Site Establishment and Survey

The first stage of the project involved site establishment and a comprehensive review of the existing civil infrastructure across the subdivision. Our team assessed the site conditions, engineering drawings and preliminary remediation list to identify areas requiring adjustment or improvement.

This process allowed the APX team to establish a structured remediation plan covering drainage infrastructure, retaining structures, pavement interfaces and verge treatments. Survey verification and site inspections ensured that rectification works could be carried out efficiently while maintaining compliance with the original design intent and council requirements.

STAGE  2

Services relocation & Stormwater

A key component of the works involves refining sections of the stormwater drainage network to ensure the system performs as designed.

Rectification works include adjustments to pits, manholes and associated drainage infrastructure, along with improvements to level spreaders, riprap areas and stormwater outlets. In several locations drainage structures require minor relocation or modification to align correctly with property boundaries and finished surface levels.

These improvements help ensure the subdivision’s drainage system operates effectively while providing long-term stability and protection of surrounding infrastructure.

STAGE  3

Bulk Earthworks

Across the development bulk earthworks were undertaken on the swale drains with unsuitable fill and rock material being extracted and replaced with correctly sized and graded rock in line with project specifications.
several retaining and structural elements require finalisation or adjustment to ensure compliance with the approved design.

Works include the installation and modification of retaining wall sections, adjustments to block systems, and improvements to drainage interfaces surrounding structural elements. The APX team will also complete stabilisation works around infrastructure such as pits, outlets and verge areas to ensure long-term durability.

By addressing these elements, the development will achieve the required structural integrity and finish expected for residential infrastructure.

STAGE  4

Sub Base

The next stage focuses on completing the hardstand and access infrastructure throughout the subdivision.

This includes construction and rectification of footpaths, driveway laybacks and kerb interfaces to ensure safe pedestrian and vehicle access across the development. Concrete works will also include the replacement of any affected panels and adjustments to align infrastructure with the finished road and verge levels.

Where required, pavement surfaces will be reinstated and asphalt works completed to ensure consistent road finishes across the estate.

STAGE  5

Kerbs

The final stage of the project focuses on reinstatement and finishing works to bring the subdivision to completion.

This includes verge clean-up, placement of topsoil, turf establishment and stabilisation of disturbed areas. Rock protection, blue metal placement and verge treatments will also be carried out to ensure drainage areas remain stable and visually consistent with the surrounding landscape.

Once these works are complete, the subdivision will present as a finished residential environment ready for long-term use by residents.
