Site Remediation
Wombarra NSW
Environmental regeneration and civil reconstruction works in Wombarra NSW, including bulk earthworks
emplacement and topsoil regeneration to support bushland growth.
STAGE 1
Site Establishment
The project commenced with full site establishment, including mobilisation of plant and equipment, delivery and installation of site offices, amenities, power and temporary facilities. Temporary access tracks were constructed to support site operations, generators and general site services.
Perimeter security fencing was installed and maintained for the duration of the works, and comprehensive traffic management measures were implemented, traffic control devices and ongoing management of public interface areas.
STAGE 2
Bulk Earthworks Emplacement & Site Regrading
Bulk earthworks operations were undertaken to reshape the site to design levels. Works included excavation, then the emplacement of unsuitable materials into the void. Geofabric was placed then capped with virgin excavated natural material in compliance with NEPC (2013). Compaction of fill materials was then undertaken and the trimming of sub grades to achieve specified tolerances to support site remediation and bushland growth.
STAGE 3
Drainage, Services & Civil Reconstruction
Civil reconstruction works included installation of subsoil and stormwater drainage infrastructure to manage surface and groundwater within the site.
Trenching, bedding, pipe installation and backfilling were completed in accordance with engineering requirements.
STAGE 4
Regeneration & Site Completion
Final works included reconstruction of pavement and hardstand areas, reinstatement of access surfaces and restoration of ground materials.
The site was then rehabilitated through placement of topsoil, stabilisation treatments and revegetation measures.
Upon completion, site facilities were removed, leaving the compliant and the bushland restored.
